Art allows me to create my own world. Through painting, clay, and printmaking I create this world. It is inhabited by many different characters. The figures in my paintings and sculptures are sincere. Like us, they are trapped between life and death. Piece by piece, my work tells a story of finding one’s way in the world, and reminds us that it’s okay to be ourselves, because eventually we will be obliterated by time. My work stands at the precipice of Carpe Diem and Yolo and celebrates life in all it’s absurdity.
